Day 1

- Transfer Salalah - Thumrayt (1 h - 90 Km)
- Transfer Thumrayt - Shisr (Ubar) (1 h - 100 Km)

Visit the ruins of Ubar, near Shisr (1 h). We stop to see what some people think are the ruins of the mythical city of Ubar, "somewhere between Hadramout and the trees of Oman". This city was partly destroyed by the collapse of an underground cavity. It remains the main tower and the traces of the fortifications. We will visit the remains of the city.

- Transfer Shisr (Ubar) - Our Camp in the Rub al Khali (2 h - 110 Km)

Walk in the dunes to see the sunset (1 h). We go for a walk through the high dunes of the desert of Rub Al Khali (the empty quarter, in Arabic), the great desert of Arabia, mainly located in Saudi Arabia, but which overflows on the bordering countries. We climb to the top of one of the dunes to see the sun set in this extraordinary landscape.

Day 2

- Transfer Bimah - Balad Sit (15 min - 5 Km)

Morning hike in the dunes (2 hours).. This morning, we climb a dune in this amazing desert. The views are superb : on all sides, a sea of sand with peaks that exceed.

- Transfer Our Camp in Rub al Khali - Water point (20 min - 15 Km)

Stop near a water point (1 h).. We stop at a water point for a refreshing shower in the middle of the sand.

Meeting with a camel breeder (1 h).. When we are at the water point we try to arrange a meeting with a camel breeder and then we leave to set up camp near his camp. The location of the camps being mobile depending on the food available, this meeting may not take place.

- TTransfer Water point - Our Camp in the Rub al Khali (20 min - 20 Km)

Day 4

- Transfer - to the heights of Al Hautah (5h - 250 Km)

Walk on the heights of the cirque Al Hautah (2 h). We go on a nice trail frequented by cows and camels in search of pasture. We are aloft and overlook the Cirque d'Al Hautah. Here we find tall trees and pastures and there are many birds.

- Transfer Fizayah - Salalah (1 h - 70 Km)

Bivouac in altitude in the middle of pastures. We bivouac on the heights in a bucolic environment. Individual tent.

Day 5

- Transfer The heights of the Cirque d'Al Hautah - Point of vue (20 min - 20 Km)

Point of view (15 mm). We stop to see a magnificent viewpoint: we are 1000m above sea level and at the foot of the cliffs is the sea. During the monsoon, clouds cling to the cliffs and make them green.

- Transfer Point of view and hike 4 h - Fazayah via Al mughsay

A swim on a white sand beach (2 hours) .We swim on one of the many white sand beaches in the area.

- Transfer Fizayah - Salalah (1 h - 70 Km)

Visit Souk Al Husn to Salalah (2 hours). This is the popular souk of Salalah. In addition to clothing and other everyday items, the Salalah souk is best known for gold, silver and perfumes.

- Transfer Wadi Darbat - Salalah (30 min - 50 Km)

Night at Salalah Beach Villas. We spend the night in this nice accommodation. The hotel is on the seafront in the Al Dhariz area, facing the beach, and has a swimming pool. Room with sea view. Comfortable room with air conditioning, fridge, private bathroom. Breakfast taken at the hotel.

Day 6

- Transfer Salalah - Khor Ruri (30 min - 45 Km)

Visit Khor Rori and Sumhuram (1h30). Khor Rori is the estuary of Wadi Darbat. At this place, the sea birds are numerous. Above the estuary are the ruins of the Sumhuram site, which was once an important port in the region, at the eastern end of the Kingdom of Hadramout and the incense production area. resin from a tree that in antiquity had a value greater than that of gold.

- Transfer Khor Ruri - Jebel Samhan (45 min - 60 Km)

Stop at the top of Jebel Samhan (30 mm). We stop on the heights of Jebel Samhan, from where we have a splendid point of view on Mirbat and the sea. It is also the occasion to see the blood. dragons, these particular trees that are found in numbers on the island of Socotra. Jebel Samhan would also be the only place in the Sultanate where the Arabian leopard would remain.

- Transfer Jebel Samhan - Wadi Darbat (30 min - 30 Km)

Walk in Wadi Darbat (3 h).. Wadi Darbat is one of the best known Wadis in Oman. During the Khareef (monsoon period, between July and September), it is stormed by Omani tourists who appreciate its greenery and its river. We will walk along the valley.

D ay 7

Salalah Food Souk (1 hr). We visit the very lively food souk of Salalah: meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, dates, traditional remedies ... This market is definitely worth the detour!

Discovery of fruit stalls in Salalah (1 h). SSalalah to the happy peculiarity of having kept its agricultural plots in the middle of the city. On the side of the road, many stalls sell the fruits produced on the spot: coconuts, bananas, papayas, sugar cane, etc...

Free time at the villa (4 hours). We enjoy a moment of relaxation to read in the garden, swim in the pool, or observe the many birds that attract the oasis that surrounds us!

Visit the archaeological site of Al Baleed (1 h). This site is located in the heart of Salalah, facing the sea. This city was formerly known as Dhofar (currently the name of the region). The area was inhabited since 4000 BC, but the rest of the city dates from the 10th century AD. Its geographical position made it an important port of the region. In the enclosure of the site is also a museum.

Day 8

- Transfer Salalah vers mirbat (40 min - 50 Km)

Visit the fishing port of Mirbat. Small coastal village Taqah is a coastal town in the Sultanate of Oman located in the south of the visit of its fort.

Tomb of Nabi Ayoub. The Tomb of "Job" is a place located in an already very beautiful place on the heights of Salalah, without GPS, it is almost impossible to find it, unless you have a guide or speak Arabic, but once there, we are carried away in a spiritual way.

Return to Salalah visit the souk of incense. This souk surrounded by coconut trees, is considered the ideal place to buy the best qualities of "luban" incense, not only in the Dhofar, but also in the whole of the Sultanate.
